Hal tersebut dimungkinkan karena izin produksi untuk memproduksi motor jenis sport ini sudah masuk ke Departemen Perindustrian Indonesia. Nama Yamaha Byson sendiri sudah pasti akan diberikan bagi motor sport yang mengambil platform yang sama dengan Yamaha Vixion.
Yamaha Byson hanya mengaplikasi sistem pengebutan dari karburator bukan injeksi seperti digunakan pada Vixion. Yamaha Byson akan menggunakan mesin karburator berkapasitas 153 cc lebih besar dibanding Vixion yang hanya memiliki kapasitas mesin 149,8 cc. Diperkirakan hargaYamaha Byson ini akan berkisar pada Rp 18 juta – Rp 20 juta.
